Hello, my name is Bernardo Lopez and I welcome you to my website.
The production of this website is very satisfying to me. I not only get to share my love of art with strangers but also make lasting friendships along the way. That even as strangers we may see and share the beauty of things together.
A portion of this site will be used to promote an awareness. I will try to bring the beauty of a "people" to you as I have come to view them. Increasingly, through my "art" I hope to let this unfold to you as it has to me. I will call them "The Vanishing Hawaiians."
Increasingly, their way of life may be at odds with today's fast pace at living. The production of art that reflects their lives, traditions, culture and popular landscapes will be true to the best of my ability. It is my hope that this website may be a stimuli for those interested in their culture.
The pieces of art that incorporate native Hawaiians will be identified with a "Hawaiian Series" caption. "Mahalo!"
